A Revolution in the Field of Liposuction
Liposuction or Lipoplasty as the cosmetic surgeons call it has become another very popular aesthetic body treatment which removes unwanted body fat, usually from the thighs, bottom and stomach. However, an unexpected side effect is the fat can return and, often to a different area from where it was first removed.
The two most common methods to get rid of it are the Tumescent technique and Ultrasonic. The Tumescent method is the most commonly practiced technique of the two main ways of removing unwanted fat from Americans today.
The tube used is much smaller and this also helps lessen the bruising which normally means a longer recovery period. Tumescent liposuction is now the procedure of choice with cosmetic surgeons because the adrenaline added to the solution used, cuts down the bleeding that normally happens.
Removing fat from those hard to get areas like the upper abdomen, thighs and hips is possible with ultrasonic liposuction.
The problem with the conventional treatment is the surgeon has trouble seeing where the probe is located in the body so it is possible for internal organs to be damaged if extreme care is not taken. The best thing to do is to consult with a surgeon to choose the most suitable technique for your body.
The liposuction procedure although relatively safe does carry some risk of side-effects but fortunately fatalities are very rare. To help reduce this risk, physical examinations are necessary for all subjects to make sure that every individual is healthy enough for the procedure to go ahead. To ensure infections do not occur after treatment, cosmetic surgeons prescribe antibiotics to patients and re-iterate the importance of keeping wounds clean. Fortunately, fat removal techniques have improved a great deal in recent years.
To treat cellulite and bumpy skin, another form of liposuction is used called Lipo Dissolve which uses the application of a number of small needles to remove the fat, dissolving it during the process. Of course the greatest benefit to patients undergoing this process is the fact that no form of anesthetic is required and it does not interfere with other cosmetic skin treatments where surgery is not required.
